The in-depth understanding of the potential and power of RFC technology, build up the since 1994, surfaced the need for improvement and a dramatic performance boost. The foundation of Proxcys in 2003 initiated the quest for the innovation of Radial Flow Chromatography. Late 2006 this challenge was mastered resulting in an automated Annular sanitary-design packing port, the key to performance. The extensive High Performance Radial Flow Chromatography (HP-RFC) product-line is built on this patented Annular port platform. |

Proxcys' first Process Column client was Dr. Alexander Baydus, CSO of the National Biotechnology Institute (Moscow-region, Russia) who ordered a 20L CSF column for production of Insulin in early 2004. Economic advantage, reduced space requirement, campaign processing and unsurpassed productivity are the main drivers to apply the HP-RFC technology. Anno 2012 the Plasma Protein Fractionation industy remains the leader in application of RFC. |
